We were honored to be a part of the ribbon cutting to open the newly remodeled family visit rooms at the Sandoval County CYFD offices on April 30. This project was the culmination of hard work and collaboration between Leadership Sandoval County and the Children Youth and Families Department. Our very own CASA, Julie Borrego (3rd from Left), was apart of the 2019 Leadership Sandoval County class and through her advocacy sought out a community service project that could benefit CASA Partners 4NMKIDS and the children that they serve in foster care in Sandoval County. Children in care often get to visit with their families at the county office in one of several visiting rooms. This project completely remodeled these rooms with new furniture, electronics, and toys and games to contribute to an overall relaxing family atmosphere that can be comforting to children and families during visits. Thank you to all involved with Leadership Sandoval County, the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Children Youth and Families Department!
See how we’re making a difference in our community.
