Cynthia Dunnington, Volunteer Coordinator
I have spent most of my professional career working in the federal government helping to keep our country safe. I made sure those who work for the federal government were above reproach and could be trusted with our nation’s secrets. In 2013, I made a career change and began to work with various populations in New Mexico who had developmental disabilities by conducting investigations into allegations of Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation. In 2018, after being semi-retired, I became aware that many of our children in New Mexico needed someone to be their voice and I joined CASA Partners 4NMKIDS and became a volunteer CASA. I grew to love this volunteer work and the importance of the work. Today, I am the CASA Volunteer Coordinator for the Sandoval County area and excited to continue growing and learning, but most importantly working with all our wonderful volunteers.
