Debra Vanderwerf, Executive Director
Ms. Vanderwerf has been building community through high-impact, direct service programming within the non profit creative arts, healthcare, and human service sectors for over 20 years. Her personal, professional, and board experience has been focused on initiatives that deliver social impact through mentorship programs and strategic partnerships.
Ms. Vanderwerf attended the University of New Mexico and holds non- profit management certifications from the University of Massachusetts. She has held leadership and consulting positions across the nation at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, United Way, Horizons for Homeless Children, Indian Hill Music School, Growing Places Garden Project, Emerson Umbrella Center for the Arts, River’s Edge Arts Alliance, and Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona. Ms. Vanderwerf has recently relocated back to New Mexico and looks forward to putting her roots down in the Southwest again.
